2. Generate Outline of your book.
3. Pick a writer/publisher whose style you want to emulate.
4. Writing Style PROMPT:Analyze the writing style of [AUTHOR] Then, write a 1-paragraph detailed description of that writing style. It should be written in a way that can be used to direct other writers to emulate their style, without mentioning the author themselves. The output you give should be structured as a writing brief for a new writer and start with: “Write in the following style; “ and give specific directions on style, tone and structure".
5. Educate ChatGPT about the book you want to write using PROMPT: Using the writing style you just explained, act as the ghostwriter for my book. Here are relevant details about the book. [PASTE CONDENSED BOOK OUTLINE] You will write the book one chapter at a time. I will provide you with a brief outline for each chapter when it is time to write it. Understood?
6. Chapter Writing PROMPT:
Chapter 1: [CHAPTER TITLE]
Chapter information: [INSERT CHAPTER FROM OUTLINE] This will just be the initial “skeleton” for the chapter, but if the writing style is completely off, ask it to re-write it
7. Expand 1st subsection. Subsection writing PROMPT:
Ok let’s break it down and write this one subsection at a time. Please write just the section called [insert subsection name]. [Insert one sentence explaining what you want this subsection to accomplish].
Examples: a} Be as helpful as you can in informing someone of their transportation options from the airport, costs and convenience of each b} Mention all the amazing sea life they can encounter on Oahu and explain specifically how and when their best chances are of seeing it.
8. After the first subsection, you can just get straight to the point Expand next subsections PROMPT: Next subsection: [insert subsection name]. [Insert one sentence explaining what you want this subsection to accomplish].
9. Edit chapter with unique FLUP PROMPTS:
Do less descriptive writing and just get straight to the point
Rewrite it without making it any shorter, but use less descriptive writing and be more practical and useful to the reader
Include [specific details you want]
Be more brief
Expand on this section
Rewrite it in paragraph format
Rewrite it, but don’t write in bulleted or numbered lists
Add bullet points within the section where relevant
Rewrite it at a 5th grade reading level without making it any shorter
Additional notes:
It’s not uncommon to need to edit the end transition of the chapter or remove unnecessary bits throughout the chapter
